Locals in Jinja City Division are still perturbed following the alleged kidnap of three children who were picked up by plain-clothed gunmen in a drone.

The children aged Aziza Nakadama,15, James Muwonge,20, and Ardinard Alaye 17, all residents of the same household in Masese I village were forcefully bundled into the drone by five people armed with AK 47 rifles.

Musisi Kibugujju, the father of the children, who doubles as the Southern Jinja City division National Unity Platform-NUP coordinator, says a group of five people including women stormed their residence on Sunday and terrorized them before fleeing with the kids.

Kibugujju says his two wives and eight children were ordered by the armed group out of the house to sit on the ground, their household was searched and the kids blindfolded and taken.

He claims one of his captors insisted that the children are attached to a rebel group, Allied Democratic Forces-ADF.

According to the Masese I Village Defense Secretary, Asad Magumba, the captors blocked the road leading to Musisi’s residence, not allowing Boda Bodas or residents near, before the operation.

He adds that the same drone with no number plate was first seen at Musisi's home on December 26th, 2022, but the occupants came with two police officers and were introduced as local leaders in the area.
