Detectives at Kalisizo police station are investigating the death of one of their own NO 64222 C/Driver Rerikayo Charles a 33-year-old resident of Kalisizo police barracks in Kalisizo town council, Kyotera district.
According to Asp Tumukunde Emmanuel the OC station who reported the incident, it is alleged that at 0530hrs on Thursday morning, the deceased made a call to PC Atuzio attached to traffic Kyotera, asking him to prepare and he takes them for duty.
However, after getting ready, at around 0600hrs, the officers could not find the deceased and he was not responding to their several phone calls.
This prompted them to go to his house and knock on the door, but he still was not responding, which raised suspicion among the staff, forcing them to break one of the windows and then saw his body lying in the bathroom.
Immediately, SP Musoba Hassan the Dpc was informed and he reported to the scene with D/Asp Otim Joyce Unice the district CID officer, Soco, and another team of CID from Kalisizo.
The body has been retrieved and conveyed to Masaka Regional Referral Hospital pending postmortem
