Hours to announcing the final results of the General election, the Incumbent Yoweri Museveni still leads in the presidential race.
According to preliminary results released by Badru Kiggundu, the Electoral commission Chairman this evening, Museveni is leading with 2,715,941, 62,82%, followed by FDC’s Kiiza Besigye with 1,414,708, 32.72%, in the third position is Independent candidate Amama Mbabazi with 74,127, 1.71%, PDP’s Dr. Abed Bwanika 42,270, 0.98%, Baryamureeba Venansius 28,814, 0.67%, Maureen Kyalya 21,683, 0.50%, Benon Biraro of FPU 13,495, 0.31% while Joseph Mabirizi comes last with 12,510, 0.29%
The results have been obtained from 12,465 polling stations (44.502%).
Valid votes cast are 4,323,521, invalid votes are 223,530, 4.92%.
Total votes 4,547,051 29.76% of total voters. Spoilt votes are 12,844.
