The Katikkiro of Uganda kingdom Charles Peter Mayiga has called upon government and whoever is in charge of the transport sector to devise means of ending fatal accidents that are claiming Ugandan lives every day.
Addressing the Lukiiko at Mengo this morning, Mayiga called for more road signs to be put up, in local languages to help drivers understand fully.
His concerns come in a wake of two fatal accidents on Masaka road that left at least 23 people dead over the weekend.
21 people were killed on Saturday evening the most horrific manner during an accident involving four vehicles, while two others died on Sunday on the same road when two cars had a head on collision.
Police blames all accidents to reckless driving.
