The Inspector General of police Gen. Kale Kayihura says the force is questioning Charles Rwomushana, a political analyst over the origin of a photo of a dead body suspected to be that of Christopher Aine, the head of Amama Mbabazi’s security team who recently disappeared.
Addressing the media at Bwebajja this morning, Gen. Kayihura also said he was not aware of the allegations that Musasizi Aine, the victim’s brother had been abducted by the police in Kampala this morning.
According the IGP, Rwomushana posted the photo on his social media, before it appeared in a local tabloid Red pepper. This would later lead to the arrest of the tabloid’s editors who were grilled and freed on police bond.
Rwomushana was arrested moments after the release of the editors, and is being held in an undisclosed area to help the police in the investigations of circumstances under which Aine disappeared.
The police boss however insists there are some games being played especially Aine’s family that has insisted on hold press conferences, while police is also busy handling the issue.
