Today, when you move to any saloon in Kampala, you hardly see a lady. Good looking guys have taken over saloons. They have invested in saloon equipment and are now reaping big from their investments.
Women also have developed a habit of running after these guys to feel their touch. They are simply ignoring saloons owned by women. These guys are so smart and they know each and every hair style that fits every woman. They do their job with tender, care and love.
We visited a few a saloons in town and with evidence, we were told that these days managers of saloons hire more men than women because women come demanding for guys to work on them.
In Ntinda, Ibra’s saloon
This saloon is located just adjacent to Tuskys supermarket. It is always packed with young corporate women. These women book on phone and come on a sure deal. The owner of the Saloon, Ibrah works on most of his customers. He also has handsome workers who help him run the saloon.
One Jacinta confessed that she can never trust anyone with her dreadlocks other than Ibra’s saloon. She gets the best service from there.
A reliable source alleged that Ibrah has gone an EXTRA MILE with different kinds of women using his saloon care. When we contacted Ibrah, he denied and revealed that it is purely business only.
Sparkles saloon at Shoprite Lugogo
Sparkles saloon has been there for ages and it has different branches around the city. The Lugogo branch is the most visited by very classy women. They visit it for a hand massage and to be worked on. Guys are more employed there than females. When we asked why they hire more males than Females, we were informed that they go by their client’s demands.
A source around this saloon also told us that these women go ahead to exchange contacts with men. They end up taking business further from saloon to the bedroom.
Ambiance Saloon around Kampala road
This one is situated in the middle of the city ant employs only men. On a Saturday, women fill the place fighting for boys to work on them. These women have also befriended these boys to the extent that they call them before they go there.
And at times, they call them for PRIVATE TASKS.... which is okay! (we are not complaining)
Marriage counsellor speaks out
When we approached a family and marriage counsellor for a comment about today’s trend of boys taking over women saloon, she was quick to say, naturally, women love tender care and in most cases, fellow women cannot do that. Women tend to look for saloons where they are men who can do what they want.
She also cautioned women to be careful of these boys because some have gone ahead to sleep with other people’s wives. When these women give them their numbers, they tend to keep in touch and try seducing them. Some women are single and end up falling for them.
