Musician Recho Ray has distanced herself from pictures that have been doing the rounds on social media in which she appears on 50k notes showing off her 'nyash'.
Recho Ray says the pictures were posted by a hacker who took control of her account on Facebook.
“Hey, guys my account is restored now. It was hacked,” she posted on her Instagram.
But her fans and followers think she is lying to avoid being charged for reproducing a legal tender.
It is a criminal offence for any person to reproduce any Bank of Uganda banknote/coin.
