Faded rapper Rocky Giant who was in rehab over drug abuse in 2021 recently opened up about his life at the facility.
Discussing his time at the rehab, he says he used to follow the news in the music industry. He says he was rattled by many things he saw transpiring in the music business but mostly, he was angered by Bebe Cool featuring his wife, Zuena Kirema, in a video of his song titled "make a wish".
“I don’t think it was respectful for Bebe Cool to use his woman, a mother in a music video. He should have respected his woman. As a Rasta, I don’t approve of that and I want him to know that I am not happy,” he says.
Rocky also criticizes Chameleone for using the phrase "Gwanga Mujje" as the title for his concert.
“The phrase is used by the Kabaka. Why would Chameleone misuse it? I think that’s why his concert had issues. Ancestors were not happy,” he explains.
Drug abuse is a big problem in Uganda’s music industry. Many musicians’ careers have been ruined by these drugs while some have even lost their lives. We hope he does not go back to using the drugs.
