In a recent interview, singer Gift ov Kaddo addressed the controversy surrounding his recent video in which he appeared to be out of touch with reality. Kaddo denied that he is mentally ill or on drugs, and he asserted that he is one of Uganda’s best artists.
“I am not under influence of anything,” Kaddo said. “First of all, I am one of Uganda’s best artists, and I had my first success when I was 20. I am not bragging or what. But if you are to name one best of the best artist in Uganda, I am one of them. This is reality.”
Kaddo also claimed that he is not struggling financially, and that he is an entrepreneur who deals in a variety of different things that bring in money.
“I am an entrepreneur who does music and a variety of other things. I can’t be poor,” he said.
Kaddo’s comments have been met with mixed reactions. Some people have supported him, while others have accused him of being delusional.
“I am not going to let anyone tell me that I am not a good artist,” he said. “I know my worth, and I am going to keep doing what I do.”
