The Vipers SC striker struck in the 15th and the 73rd minute to ensure Uganda won 2-1 against the Stallions and the side currently leads group B with three points.
Ssentamu who won the Orange man of the match accolade dedicated the award to his family.
"I dedicate this award to my family. It is great scoring two goals on my second international outing for the Cranes,” Ssentamu told reporters after the game.
The young striker became only the second Ugandan to score at the CHAN finals after midfielder Ibrahim Saddam Juma who scored Uganda’s only goal at the previous edition.
