In a letter dated December 3, UNCC Vice Chairperson Phina Mugerwa, also known as Masanyalaze, asked the two artists to appear before the board today.

Gravity also dismissed Bobi Wine's condolence message, claiming that if Bobi Wine had intervened with his fans earlier, some of the issues leading to his mother’s death might have been prevented.

He explained that Chameleone has played a significant role in nurturing new talent and promoting the industry.

Gravity, who experienced a disappointing turnout at Lugogo Cricket Oval this year, blames politics for dividing the industry and weakening its unity.

In 2023, Gravity Omutujju had a public falling-out with Chameleone, even celebrating when rain disrupted the legendary singer’s stage performance.

The rapper also mentioned that his mother’s passing and other challenges this year have taught him valuable lessons.

Fefe Bussi has always ranked himself as the top rapper in Uganda and has been openly critical of Gravity Omutujju.

Speaking during the ceremony, Gravity expressed regret over not fulfilling his mother's request before her death.

On Monday this week, Gravity Omutujju's mother was laid to rest in Nyatabooma, in the Fort Portal district.

In his speech, Gravity thanked the music fraternity and everyone who supported him during this difficult time while mourning his mother.

Plans for her burial have been set. A prayer service was held on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in Nyatabooma, Fort Portal, where she will be laid to rest on Monday.

Musician Spice Diana and rapper Gravity Omutujju were once good friends, but that is no longer the case.
