Residents of Mbarara town are in panic after a businessman reportedly went missing, barely a dayafter another one in Bushenyi was found dead inside his car.
Reports indicate that 35 year-old Fred Karuhanga a son of Nazario Bakantoda, has been working closely with his father in running family businesses among them Hotel B Plus along Mbarara High Street.
According to a source, Karuhanga was last seen in Mbarara on May 2nd at around 2pm and has since then never been traced.
Bakantonda says his son's known telephone contacts are switched off, adding that the family suspects he was taken by kidnappers but they do not know what could be the motive.
Jaffar Magyezi, Mbarara District police commander confirms the incident and says that investigations are under way.
Karuhanga's disappearance comes just a day after John Rwamutwe alias Hedex, a Bushenyi-based businessman was found dead in his car abandoned in Ibanda district.
Rwamutwe who owns Hedex hardware shop along Bushenyi Main Street in Central Division of Bushenyi Municipality, was reportedly kidnapped by unknown people and driven in his Toyota Surf registration number UAQ 567R.
