Celebrated Deejay Jamal died on Monday afternoon at Mulago Hospital in Makindye division.
The disc spinner who worked at Laftaz bar in Centenary Park had been battling kidney related problems for one and half years.
At the beginning of this year, he was admitted to Nsambya hospital for an operation but it didn’t take place because of limited funds.
There was an initiative by colleagues to start up a car wash campaign to raise money but it didn’t kick off so he opted for Mulago hospital.
He lost a son two months ago after falling off from the second floor of his apartment and the body was laid to rest in Pallisa district. Jamal will be buried in Katosi, Mukono district. He has left behind twins currently staying with their mother in Germany.
