Musician Mesach Semakula has opened up about his early years in the music industry, revealing how he was disowned by his father when he chose to concentrate on music.
Semakula explained that his decision to pursue music met with much resistance from his family, especially his father, who wanted him to continue with school.
His father didn't see any future in music and believed Semakula was a lost cause.
"I was disowned by my father way back. He wanted me to continue with school, but I refused, so he chased me away from home, and I had to find my way to life in Kampala," he said in part.
Semakula, however, says he later reconciled with his father, but this happened after his father saw him make significant progress in the music industry.
