With this experience, the Gagamel boss has advised fellow artist Azawi to steer clear of politics if she intends to focus on her music career.
Bebe Cool explained that politics often brings chaos and divides fans, which is detrimental to an artist’s growth and image.
"Piece of advice: Stay away from political statements unless you plan to leave music and fully join politics. Otherwise, I am the best example. The burden is extremely heavy—it will demand your physical, mental, and financial strength to survive in the industry when your fanbase splits into factions," he stated in a statement released alongside his annual "Bebe Cool List."
Azawi was also featured on the list for her single "Masanvu."
It should be noted that last year, Azawi frequently made political remarks, often criticizing the government over societal injustices.
