Jamaican reggae/Rnb star Nyanda real names Nyanda Janelle Thorbourne, formerly a member of the music duo Brick and lace is reportedly held up in Uganda, according to reports.
Howwe.Biz has learned that the Slippery when wet singer is grassing in the Hotels of Kampala and planning to extend her stay because she finds the Ugandan music industry more absorbing than in Jamaica where she has for years failed to make a remarkable cut since Brick and Lace disbanded. “She thinks she can do better here than she is doing in her own country”
Nyanda was expected to depart out of Uganda shortly after her performance at the club Mega fest in Masaka that happened last Saturday 15 Aug., but she has since camped in one of the city hotels and is looking to launch her career on the local scene.
The Jamaican singer is already in studio cooking music and collaborations with local singers, her track with Leila Kayondo is already out.
