Jamaican reggae/Rnb star Nyanda real names Nyanda Janelle Thorbourne, formerly a member of the music duo Brick and Lace has finally left Uganda.
Finally some Ugandans can breathe a sigh of relief. Nyanda jetted into the country two weeks ago for the Club mega Fest street jam in Masaka, however unlike many international artists that leave a day or two after their concerts
Nyanda stayed up in Uganda for another week and rumour had started hitting up that she had run broke! But in the due course she found work to do before recording and shooting a video with Leila Kayondo. She went ahead to be a guest performer at Lillian Mbabazi’s concert last Friday at Serena.
She later on Saturday performed at venom and it is said she came on a boda boda that night.
Some concerned Ugandan’s had considered a move to help Nyanda register as a Ugandan artist.
“Nyanda should register with Uganda Perfomers rights society, get a plot and become a local artiste. ...chic ain't going away”, one member was heard commenting.
