For years now, the self-proclaimed president of the Ghetto, H.E Bobi Wine had always showed his allegiance to the opposition Forum for Democratic Change party (FDC) and has subscribed to it since then until now when he’s coming out to be so vocal.
A week ago, rumors started circulating that the singer was planning to venture into politics following the footsteps of his brothers, Chairman Nyanzi and the DP scribe Eddy Yawe. Bobi Wine came out clearly to declare his intensions of contesting for the MP seat of Kyadondo North.
According to Bibi Wine, it was because of people’s desire for him to lead them that propelled him to accept the offer however some other people have come out clearly to object the matter saying it’s his ego and nobody has reached out to Bobi Wine telling him to stand.
According to one resident of Kasangati only identified as Batte,Bobi Wine is just an ambitious chap who is trying to impose himself on the people by tagging along the big shots like Kizza Besigye but not somebody you can count on to be a member of parliament, “he’s an imposter to say that residents asked him to stand”. Said Batte.
His direct involvement in politics clearly indicates that he’s been preparing himself for something therefore it’s his own making not the residents.
