TV presenter, Innocent Tegusulwa believes that he is the best thing that has ever happened to Ugandans. When he is on TV, he speaks with authority. When he became popular, he decided to upgrade his books. Innocent started as a sports radio presenter on Star FM, a substation of UBC.

From Boda Boda Rider in Nankulabye to TV star

Few Ugandans know the genesis of Innocent. Sources that know him very well narrated to us that Innocent started as a boda-boda rider in Nankulabye while he was in his senior six vacation.

“Innocent was a boda-boda rider in his senior six vacation. His grandmother had failed to pay his tuition for higher education; he chose to buy a motorcycle. He later joined MCAT just after two years as a boda rider. He later graduated and got his first radio Job at Star FM. This is how he started his career” source narrated.

In one of his media interviews, Innocent says, he walked to Bukedde management’s office and asked for a job. He didn’t do any interview and has never looked back ever since.

Enrolling at Makerere University and failing entry exams

It has always been his dream to study law from Makerere University but his dreams were shattered when he failed the Pre-entry exams for the fifth time.

While speaking to a friend, he explained why he failed the entry exams several times. “I don’t prepare for the exams very well. I am always busy and the entry exams are so hard. But, I will not settle until I join Makerere” he narrated.
