Musician and turned-politician Hillary Kiyaga, also known as Dr Hilderman, is facing the same challenge as many other legislators who subscribe to the National Unity Platform.

Many of them are insecure and worried as reports indicate the party is not going to endorse them ahead of the general elections next year.

However, Hilderman says he is not focusing on the party ticket and will not contest in next year's elections if not endorsed by the party.

He will just continue working for the betterment of the country and ensuring that Bobi Wine rises to the presidency.

"If I don’t have the NUP card, I won’t contest, but I will remain loyal and continue to serve the party diligently. I will focus on working to bring my leader Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu into the presidency of the country," he explained.

Dr Hilderman is the current Member of Parliament for Mawokota North constituency. Recently, he has been surrounded by controversy over his positive words towards Mathias Mpuuga, who is considered a public enemy by Bobi Wine.
