Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) president Cindy Sanyu has appointed some of the people who opposed her during her bid to become the president of the association. The elections were postponed until further notice by the Ministry of Gender, Labour, and Social Development after some members questioned how members from other regions would vote for their candidates if not offered transport to travel to Kampala.
After a few months, Cindy Sanyu resumed office, claiming there was a vacuum in the leadership of the association.
This week, Cindy announced that she had established an interim committee to run the business of the association and some of the people appointed are; Lord Bitemu who will work as Chief Whip, Allan Toniks (Youth Affairs), Hanson Baliruno (Vice president), Denis Lanek (Gospel) and many others
Most of these members were against Cindy and supported King Saha for president, but they have accepted to work with her for the development of the association.
