Politics has continued to dominate the Ugandan music industry, and at the moment, the two are inseparable.

After making endless attacks against Kenzo and his federation, plus the ruling government, Daddy Andre has reportedly joined the National Unity Platform, the leading opposition party in Uganda.

In a video making rounds online, Daddy Andre is seen confirming his affiliation with the National Unity Platform and says he has joined to awaken Ugandans, particularly the youth.

The producer says he is going to focus on writing music for the struggle, packaged with its demands and a message of hope for Ugandans.

"I am going to write music of the struggle and songs that awaken the people of Uganda. It is high time for everyone to get engaged, and that is what I am doing at the moment. I want to awaken the youth to take charge," he partly explained.

Daddy Andre says music is a big tool, and if used effectively, it can bring about change in the masses.
