AFRIMA award nominee Lilian Mbabazi was hosted at Sanyu this morning 15th Aug, 2015 by James Onen alias Fat-Boy on the “alive and kicking show”. During the show Lilian highlighted what to expect on her upcoming ‘Up close and Personal’ concert at Serena Hotel this 21st Aug. She assured her beloved fans to be there in time because she has no curtain raisers, implying the show starts right away with her performing all the way to the end, that’s so “up close and personal” indeed!
Introspective host, Fat-boy upon noticing Lilian Mbabazi is nominated in the AFRIMA awards for the Best East African Female Artist category and basing on his home work on artists behavior, argued the singer not to act like Bebe Cool in the MAMA Award days this year 2015.

The memories singer says voting commences on the night of the concert. She will be telling fans to start voting that night (let’s support our very own ‘simple girl’ singer Lilian Mbabazi).
Among other things that were exciting in the show is why she took this long to stage a concert? The singer made it clear that she took this long because she didn’t want to give her fans something shady, but now that she has management from DEG and Swangz Avenue, she’s ready to make it big with a couple of more albums under way! Matter of fact her dream is to be one of the top female singers in Africa, That’s how high she’s willing to take her music career.
According to Lilian she finds it fun to work with rapper the Mith, Navio, goodlyfe crew ,just to name a few. They give her the vibe she needs in studio.
Last but not least, Lilian talked of performing some tracks of the album that you probably have not heard and she was out of the show just like that, time up! It’s still not clear, how many songs are on the album ‘Up close and Personal’.
