All is not well in the camp of New Eagles as their CEO and singer Geoffrey Lutaaya has been dragged to court for defaulting payment of sh8m to a music promoter.
The case that is before Mengo magistrate Samuel Kagod indicates that Lutaaya together with the defunct Eagles Production have been sued by a music promoter Dickson Sewankambo, of Dick Production for allegedly failing to pay back sh8m arising from failure to perform at music shows that were staged along Masaka road.
"I called him several times and he ignored my calls. Once in a while he picks my calls but keeps on promising me that he will refund my money which he has failed to do," the suit reads in part.
It is claimed by Dick that in 2013, gave Lutaaya sh8m on behalf of Eagles Production before it split into two groups to perform at two music shows that were to be staged in Lukaya and Kabwohe.
Court has ordered Lutaaya to file his defense in fifteen days.
