Bodies of three fishermen recovered in Lake Kwania

Three bodies of fishermen who drowned on Lake Kwania in Kwania District have been recovered by police. 

Denis Elyak, 29, Thomas Odur, 28, and Jimmy Ocan, 22 all residents of Akokodako Village, Nambieso Sub County in Kwania district drowned on Sunday evening while using a small boat to fish at Taliban landing Site, which overturned because of heavy wind. 

North Kyoga Region Police spokesperson David Ongom Mudong says the bodies were recovered last evening when they were found floating on the lake.

Bodies have been handed to the relatives of the deceased for burial.
