Preliminary results trickling in indicate that Lubaga South MP Ken Lukyamuzi has lost in the parliamentary elections held Thursday. Many people have always known him as a political comedian.
John Ken Lukyamuzi, “The Man”, has been taken to the yams..... by former Bulange based CBS comedian Paulo Kato Lubwama.
Lukyamuzi has been the area Member of Parliament for 15 years.
Meanwhile, DP’s Moses Kasibante lost to former presidential candidate Beti Olive Kamya. Peter Sematimba was also leading in the Kyadondo South Parliamentary race.
Some of the other victims include internal affairs minister Rose Akol who was appointed to the portfolio on January 3, 2016 was trailing. Her education counterpart Jessica Alupo was also struggling to retain Katakwi woman seat respectively.
Violent Akurut Adome trounced Alupo in the NRM party primaries with a margin of over 3000 votes.
Information and national guidance minister, Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi, was reportedly trailing FDC's Fred Turyamuhweza in the race for Rujumbura in the western district of Rukungiri district
