18 out of the 36 NUP supporters who were arrested in Kalangala in December last year were released on Monday morning after several attempts to get bail but in vain.
Bobi Wine’s right-hand man, Eddy Mutwe, who is accused of unlawful possession of ammunition was sent to Kitalya Prison where he has been for months.
Upon release, Eddie Mutwe vowed to start where he stopped with the struggle before he was captured.
He also hinted at reclaiming NUP and Bobi Wine’s victory.
It should be noted that Bobi Wine lost the presidential elections to NRM’s Yoweri Kaguta Museveni before claiming that the President rigged the elections.
