In 2020, Mc Africa helped fuel the explosion of Pia Pound’s song "Tupaate" into a hit song.

Mc Africa himself became a celebrity and was compelled to move from Mbale to Kampala. He lived at ABM Records, a label Pia Pound is signed to. But all the good vanished when "Tupaate" faded.

Pia Pound was accused of using and dumping Mc Africa after he completely disappeared from the spotlight.

Discussing their relationship, Pia Pounds said she still has a good relationship with Mc Africa and that they still talk although he no longer stays at ABM.

“You know Ugandans can hype you today and forget you tomorrow. This is what happened to Mc Africa. When he was on demand, we told him that this would happen and he was aware. We advised him to enjoy the fame because it would not last,” she said.

Pia Pound said Mc Africa chose as an adult to follow the wind of life and she respects his decision.
