Award-winning actress and singer Halle Bailey, known for her role as Ariel in "The Little Mermaid," has officially confirmed the arrival of her first child with boyfriend DDG.
Ending months of pregnancy speculation, Bailey took to Instagram on Sunday, to share the joyous news alongside a heartwarming photo of her newborn's tiny hand.
"Even though we're a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son," Bailey wrote in the caption, adding, "Welcome to the world my halo ??? ✨the world is desperate to know you ??♥️."

Rumors surrounding Bailey's pregnancy began circulating in recent months, fueled by her appearances in loose clothing on multiple occasions. Notably, in August, she attended Beyoncé's concert in Atlanta wearing an oversized pink set. Further speculation arose when Bailey was spotted in the background of a video posted by DDG, 26, where she appeared to be cradling a baby bump.
In September, Bailey skipped the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards, donning a billowing orange dress that concealed her stomach while introducing Måneskin's performance, adding to the growing speculation about her pregnancy.

The romance between Bailey, 23, and DDG, 26, first caught the public's attention in January 2022 during Usher's Las Vegas residency. Going Instagram official in March 2022 in celebration of Bailey's 22nd birthday, the couple has since been open about their relationship.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Bailey shared that her love story with DDG has significantly influenced her music. "All musical inspiration really just comes from life experiences," she revealed. "Love has been a really big one for me too because that’s something I’m experiencing for the first time, and it’s, like, ‘whoa’ in your brain. It’s just fireworks, a spark for creativity."
Opening up about the depth of her emotions, Bailey expressed, "You know, you have puppy love experiences, you think that’s love. But this is my first deep, deep, real love."
