Musician Pia Pounds has been in the industry for almost ten years. However, she has received massive criticism over time from different people who claim she doesn't have talent.
Pounds has also faced attacks from social media in-laws for her involvement in Eddy Kenzo's relationship with Rema. Many accused her of being involved with the BET award winner.
Pounds, however, says that criticism empowers her and has helped her improve her game.
"All the negative sentiments have pushed me to improve. I stay focused and don’t pay attention to negative comments," she said in an interview with a local television.
Pia Pounds made her breakthrough in 2020 after releasing her song "Twende Tupaate."
