Musician Winnie Nwagi often finds herself battling cultural norms in Uganda. She is the most controversial person under Swangz Avenue.

Nwagi is known for trouble; if she is not beating up a fan on stage, she is exchanging insults with a journalist or having a fierce fight with a lover back at home.

However, Nwagi says she is different from this perception. She is a good person, social, and wonders why Ugandans keep associating her with trouble.

"Very few people get to see the other side of me, the social and welcoming person, the joy... they have that bad perspective, and whenever they hear 'Winnie Nwagi,' they just think trouble," she partly said in an interview with a local television station.

Nwagi, however, says she will not struggle to show the good side of herself to people who have already made up their minds.
