Musician John Blaq faced stiff criticism when he first entered the music industry.
Many called his voice boring and predicted he wouldn't last long in this competitive field.
However, the singer has been active for over five years now and says he will continue to dominate the music airwaves and the industry at large.
He explained that the critics motivated him to work hard because he often wanted to prove them wrong.
"The critics give me the energy to work more and more. I always focus on proving my critics wrong. Many people disliked my music back then, but they motivated me to work hard," he said in an interview with Sanyuka Television.
