Sharon, the girlfriend of Ugandan singer Vyroota, has publicly apologized to him and his fans for the fallout from her recent criticism of the artist, which led to his brief imprisonment.
In a TikTok video posted on her account, which she's since renamed "Shyroota," the high school student expressed deep remorse for how the situation escalated after she took her grievances to the media.
Sharon claimed she was manipulated by various media outlets, resulting in damage to Vyroota's reputation and career.
"Vyro I'm sorry for everything that I did on the media and please, sorry to all Vyro fans," she stated in her post. She also appealed to the media, saying, "Media people, stop using me please to tarnish his name or music. Sorry to everyone who will see this."
The apology has been met with mixed reactions from Vyroota's fanbase. Some fans applauded Sharon for recognizing her mistake and issuing a public apology, while others criticized her for the harm they believe she caused to the singer's image.
