Dr. Jose Chameleone is nominated in "Best Dancehall Artist" — against Stonebwoy (Ghana), Timaya (Nigeria), MC Norman (Uganda), Wax Dey (Cameroon), Shatta Wale (Ghana), Patoranking (Nigeria) and Buffalo Soldier (Zimbabwe) — and in the "AFRIMMA Inspirational Song" for his Luganda hit song "Bwerere" against Bracket ft Diamond & Tiwa Savage - Alive (Nigeria & Tanzania), Juliana Kanyomozi - Woman (Uganda), Sarkodie ft Castro - Adonai (Ghana), Psquare ft Dave Scott - Bring it On (Nigeria) and Eddy Kenzo - Be Happy (Uganda).
