Tycoon Geoffrey kirumila has urged the family of late Ivan Semwanga and socialite Zari Hassan to come together in this trying moment. He asked this while speaking to mourners who had come to pay their last respects to the fallen Sangoma at Namirembe Cathedral on Monday.
He said that the previous exchange of words between the two families was uncalled and termed it as cheap talk. He called upon the two families to reconcile and raise the children he left behind.
“When the body arrived at the airport I was among the people that picked it. I was disappointed by the relatives exchanging bitter words. It wasn’t necessary. Ivan was a calm man who doesn’t deserve this commotion. I am asking the families to sit and resolve their differences. They should sit down and see how to take of the property. If they continue fighting for the property, they won’t benefit from it” he warned.
He added “Ivan has been my friend. He was a young man who worked hard for his success. The last time I was in SA, he took care of me. I never spent any coin while there. He asked me if I had time so that we could tour some of his property. Unfortunately, my stay there was cut short as I had other engagements” he said.
