Uganda’s celebrated singer Dr Jose Chameleone and female comedian Anne Kansiime spotlighted Uganda’s showbiz industry at the BEFFTA Awards 2013 award gala as they stood out as victors in their respective categories.
Dr Jose Chameleone topped the category of Best International Africa Act as he came out a victor above artistes like Nature, Rhihanna, Dbanj, Zahara, Peter Zagaze, and Grey Naava.
Anne Kansiime also topped in her nominated category of Best Comedian as she dusted off fellow comedians like A dot, Obonjo, Wale Gates, Richard Blackhood, Don’t Jealous Me, Eddie Kadi, Richard Blackhood, Babatunde, Funmbi, Ola the comedian to win the accolade.
The highly anticipated annual event took place at the Hippodrome in Golders Green, London. It was hosted by comedian Eddie Kadi and ITV news reader Charlene White.
