Ugandans took to the streets on Sunday evening to celebrate the Uganda Cranes qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations-AFCON. Uganda Cranes defeated Comoros 1-0 to storm the AFCON tournament, which will be held in Gabon next year.
Uganda’s Education and Sports Minister, Janet Museveni was also photo’d jubilating with the rest of the fans at Namboole before revealing Uganda Cranes historic win on Sunday is an answer from the most high.
The First Lady who was at Namboole Stadium to witness the occasion had this to say after the match, “Today along with hundreds of thousands of Ugandans, I watched you qualify for AFCON. This is after your hard work and dedication. I thank God for this victory and I salute the Uganda Cranes.”
