Veteran radio presenter James Onen aka Fat Boy left Sanyu FM after 21 years of radio service.
While appearing on a local radio station, he opened up about his journey at Sanyu FM and how he was fired.
He confirmed that there was no strike at the station, the management just played them like fools.
Apparently, management told them not to work and so they did but they kept asking why. The next thing they knew they were fired. He denies leading a strike, they wanted to discuss with the management for a better deal. Rajiv Ruparelia, who is the Managing Director of Sanyu FM radio station just fired them all.
When asked if he was going to sue the station, he explained that his phone has been blowing up with calls from lawyers who are willing to take on the management. He is talking with his fellow presenters, weighing their options and looking for away forward.
Talking about going back to the station, he confirmed that he can never return to Sanyu FM. He said Rajiv treated him like trash after giving the station many years of his life.
Fat Boy said, "Absolutely No. Why would I want to work in a place that treated me like that? I was royal to the station but they just kicked me out like a dog, without even giving me a chance to explain myself. Rajiv acted carelessly, he wasn't willing to listen to reason just because he can."
