Musician-turned-politician Hillary Kiyanga, also known as Dr. Hilderman, has revealed that there is no money in politics.
Hilderman made these remarks during an interview on Galaxy TV with Mr. Henry, where he explained that music pays better than politics.
The singer explained that he used to earn over eight million Ugandan shillings every weekend, and all of that money would go into his bank accounts. Now, however, he has to cater to his entire constituency.
"I wouldn’t advise you to go into parliament because there’s no money. I used to earn over eight million Ugandan shillings just for a single weekend, but now, although I earn over twenty million a month, it all goes to the constituents," he partly said during the interview.
Hillary Kiyanga, aka Dr. Hilderman, is currently the Member of Parliament for Mawokota North Constituency.
