An ‘upcoming artist’ Eddy Kenzo yesterday bagged Best video of the year award at the Uganda Entertainment Awards where his Sitya Loss was nominated alongside MTV Video of the year nominee, Bebe Cool’s Love you Everyday.
The Sitya singer has for the recent past been on verbal war with the Love you everyday singer, claiming that Bebe Cool doesn’t respect him despite being better than him musically for the last three years.
Fast rewind, the whole beef about these two artists started when Bebe Cool termed Kenzo as an Upcoming artist even after winning the BET Award. The statement that Kenzo and his fans didn’t take softly before a war of words rocked social media.
As the two artists kept on misbehaving before their fans like grasshoppers in a polythene bag, their fans fueled the war further on social media, where Gagamel Fans defeated Team Kenzo pants down!
However, Team Kenzo prayed to their “gods” that one day…Love you Everyday and Sitya Loss be nominated in the same category! And finally a chance arose at Ugandan Entertainment Awards where the two were nominated in the same category of Best Video of the year alongside Chameleone’s Wale Wale and Irene Namatovu’s Kuzaala Kujagaana. And guess what Sitya Loss outsmarts Love you everyday as Team Kenzo emerge the winners of the night.
After last night’s win some Eddy Kenzo’s fans have now taken to the social media pages mocking Gagamel Fans that they are just “Barking Dogs who can’t even bite”. They claim that why don’t Gagamel fans convert the amount of energy and Internet bundles they use to insult other people on Social media into Real Votes to help their Boss from humiliation by an Upcoming artist?!
Well, these are questions that Gagamel are yet to respond to.
In the meantime, Music lovers probably think Eddy Kenzo’s big win against Bebe Cool was just being lucky. AFRIMMA awards are in the corner where Bebe Cool and Kenzo are still in the same category... Will the upcoming artist (Kenzo) still outsmart King of the Jungle (Bebe Cool)? Your guess is as good as mine!
