It has been almost two weeks since Elias Nalukoola was announced as the winner of the Kawempe North MP by-election by the Electoral Commission.

Nalukoola of the National Unity Platform (NUP) won the Kawempe North by-election, thereby preventing his swearing-in as a Member of Parliament.

Moses Nsereko gained momentum this year after he announced his intention to contest for MP Kawempe North in the just-concluded by-elections.

The singer has already worked on a music project with Kalifah Aganaga which highlights their struggles and conviction to their aspirations.

Nsereko only managed to poll 32 votes in the whole constituency against 17,764 polled by Elias Nalukoola Luyimbazi, who emerged the winner of the election.

Nalukoola, in his speech, revealed it was not his win but for the people of Kawempe North and the struggling Ugandans.

Kabako also spoke about Bebe Cool, who claimed he doesn't fast because of ulcers.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Kabako explained Kalifah should stick to music because it is something he understands better.

Nsereko also fainted when the party announced Elias Nalukoola as the winner of its ticket for the Kawempe North by-election.

Nalukoola will be contesting against FDC’s Kalifah Aganaga, NRM’s Farida Nambi, and other independent candidates.

The announcement was made by the chairperson of the elections management committee, Mercy Walukaaba.

King Saha has urged his political party, the National Unity Platform, to grant its ticket to Nalukoola ahead of the elections scheduled for March this year.
